Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of competence and work environment on employee performance at the City Central Hotel. using a saturated sampling technique with a sample size of 102 people and respondents are employees of the City Central Hotel and the data collection method is by distributing questionnaires. The data quality test in this study used the validity and reliability test, the classical assumption test and the influence test in this study using multiple linear regression analysis and determination coefficient analysis, while the hypothesis testing in this study used the t test and the F test using the SPSS version. From the software program 25. The results of multiple linear regression tests show that competence has an effect of 51.6% on employee performance and work environment has an effect of 36.5% on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R2) obtained from the competency and work environment variables has an effect of 50.0% on employee performance. From the results of the t test and F test it can be concluded that the competence and work environment partially have a significant effect on employee performance and competence and work environment simultaneously has a significant effect on employee performance at the City Central Hotel.
