Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the priority criteria in a Batam souvenir center, as a consideration in building a business in the tourism sector, especially in determining the location to be a center for selling souvenirs of Batam. The method used is  QFD (Quality Function Deployment) by analyzing VoC data that has been obtained. The sample selection  used a simple random sampling technique by Slovin formula. The results obtained that criteria for souvenir center have the highest priority are having a beautiful and attractive appearance and the availability of  COVID-19 sterilization disinfectant room at the entrance of the center with a value of 4.52. The criteria for lowest priority are regional special performances with an importance value of 3.86, the technical response with the highest priority is located on the edge of the main road, with a Technical Importance Rating value of 239.2, an Absolute Importance value of 173.9, and the Relative Importance value is 10.18%. The lowest priority falls on the criteria for providing a special chamber or room for disinfectants and temperature checking equipment, with a Technical Importance Rating value of 55.9, an Absolute Importance value of 40.7, and its Relative Importance value is 2.38%.
