Abstract

The submission of student activity proposals at the Institut Sosial dan Teknologi Widuri Jakarta has traditionally been carried out manually through physical document submission and conventional verification by the student affairs department. This process frequently caused delays, document loss, and a lack of transparency in monitoring proposal status. To address these issues, this study designed and developed a web-based student affairs information system that allows students to submit activity proposals digitally, while enabling campus staff to perform verification, approval, and archiving processes online. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, encompassing requirements analysis, system design with UML modeling (including use case, activity, and class diagrams), system implementation using PHP and MySQL, and testing through the Blackbox Testing method. Testing results confirmed that all core system functions including login, proposal submission, admin verification, and digital archiving operated properly with no errors. The system successfully improved the efficiency of the proposal submission process, accelerated information flow, and supported well-organized digital documentation. In conclusion, this system provides an effective solution for managing student activity proposals at Institut Sosial dan Teknologi Widuri. However, further development is recommended, particularly the addition of automatic notification features and a mobile application to enhance overall usability.
