Studi ini mengkaji representasi keibuan ideologis dan penantian dalam novel Lyora karya Fenty Effendy. Melalui pembacaan mendalam dalam kerangka stilistika sastra, artikel ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana pengalaman keibuan dibentuk melalui penantian dan kesunyian, pengekangan, serta tindakan bertahan yang berulang, bukan ekspresi emosional yang terbuka. Alih-alih menyajikan keibuan sebagai pilihan pribadi, novel ini menggambarkannya sebagai tanggung jawab moral yang diharapkan ditanggung perempuan dengan diam. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa momen kehilangan dan kekecewaan dinarasikan dengan bahasa yang tenang dan terkendali, sementara emosi seperti kemarahan dan frustrasi dilembutkan atau dibiarkan tak terucap. Penantian berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai tema, tetapi juga praktik naratif yang mendisiplinkan waktu, emosi, dan tubuh perempuan. Temuan mengindikasikan bahwa strategi ini menormalisasi trauma maternal dengan menyajikan kesabaran dan penerimaan sebagai tanda kedewasaan moral. Kesunyian menjadi respons sosial yang dapat diterima terhadap rasa sakit, didukung oleh bahasa moral dan religius yang tidak mendorong protes. Artikel ini berargumen bahwa bentuk sastra dan pilihan stilistika memainkan peran kunci dalam membentuk pemahaman dan evaluasi trauma maternal, menunjukkan bagaimana ideologi beroperasi secara halus dalam bahasa teks.
