Pahlawan: Representasi Perempuan dalam Cerita Disney Era Renaisans Pilihan

Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan representasi perempuan yang digambarkan dalam Disney era renaisans, serta untuk menganalisis alasan bagaimana perjuangan karakter Disney dalam menuntut kesetaraan gender mereka sebagai perempuan dalam masyarakat.

Penelitian ini dikategorikan ke dalam metode penelitian kualitatif dan deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah metode dokumentasi dan teknik mencatat. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan dua konsep metode untuk menganalisis data yang telah dikumpulkan. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan analisis pendekatan kesetaraan gender dan teori feminisme gelombang kedua dari Simone de Beauvoir. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, klausa, klarifikasi, dan kalimat yang diambil dari cerita Disney era Renaisans pilihan.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari analisis data representasi perempuan yang digambarkan dalam Disney Renaisans terpilih, penulis menemukan tiga bagian dalam deskripsi representasi perempuan, yaitu; Wanita pemberontak, bijaksana, dan petualang., Wanita percaya diri, cerdas, dan penolak domestikasi., Wanita maskulin, setia, dan ambisius. Kemudian dari analisis data perjuangan tokoh Disney dalam menuntut kesetaraan gender mereka sebagai perempuan dalam masyarakat, penulis menemukan tiga bagian yang membuktikan dalam penggambaran representasi perempuan, yaitu; melebihi harapan patriarki., Menolak domestikasi dan menerapkan emansipasi., Menyesuaikan atribut dan peran maskulin.
